Go Together offers a secure cloud-based K12 transportation platform that empower districts, schools and families to get students to and from school. We connect families in your school district to create carpools, walkpools, bike pools, or mass transit pools. We provide a secure, easy-to-use platform to help families join existing trips or start new ones.
Go Together is an incredible solution for carpooling coordination, but we want to challenge others to think beyond one way of getting to and from school. We are transportation agnostic. Yes, Go Together was built with security in mind. We take every precaution to ensure your users and student data stays secure. All users undergo a background check and are approved by the school administrator or district administrative team to ensure that their matches come from within your own district community.
How Does it Work?
We provide online and mobile access to our software. School districts enter into a 10-month licensing agreement and families gain 24/7 access in order to create as many trips as they would like. Trips can be one-time or recurring, including notifications to send e-mail or text messages to alert families of users close by and even when it’s their turn to drive!
Families, students, and faculty can find Go Together mobile app available on both iOS and Android devices.
Once families are approved and a profile is created on school branded web or mobile apps, each family starts by finding a match using our proprietary algorithm to link families to carpool, walk, bike, or share mass transit trips. Matches are based on three criteria – distance, schedule and grade. Families send invitations to join their network to start creating their trip schedules. Once someone accepts, we encourage families to chat about trip needs and exchange contact information as needed.
Each family is responsible for managing their trips and all of the details those entail. They are able to message the families in their network and/or exchange information to manage the trips each time.
Administrators approve all users, post school events and review trips using our easy-to-use interface. Go Together notifies the administrator every 24 hours of new users awaiting their approval to ensure a secure community is managed. We take care of all customer support needs via the Live Chat on your school’s Go Together site, a dedicated email and by calling 1-800-514-3808.
